HDS Academy has gone to using outside training facilities in many cities. While some offices (Dallas, Stockholm, NYC, Atlanta) have lovely training rooms en suite, others only have a conference room. Conference rooms are designed for meetings, not classes, so it's always awkward. So, in cities without classrooms, we've been doing training in third-party facilities. This is a wonderful thing from my perspective as an instructor, because the training companies know how to treat us right. There's a company called Fast Lane that we've used in Zurich and now Vienna.

This spacious classroom at Fast Lane Vienna (near Gasometer City) rivals the big room in the NYC office. Fast Lane had laptops set up for each student, along with the usual supplies and such. Internet connections were wired, making connectivity back to the remote lab equipment in Waardenburg, Netherlands, a snap. They even included a €5 voucher per day per student for lunch. Coffee service was splendid, as well as the fridge full of soft drinks, juices, and water. Combine all this with Petra's assistance in getting me a room at the hotel around the corner, and it was a splendid experience.
If you're going to hold computer training, give serious thought to "doing it right," and investigate using a training facility like Fast Lane in Europe, ExitCertified in many Canadian cities, or a firm like New Horizons in the US. It makes a much better impression on your students than gather-around-the-conference-table.
